From death back to life !

Ours is an organization of support to direct and rapid action to restore the basic right of life to those persons in danger of losing it in unacceptable discriminatory conditions.

Each call for help, voiced or unvoiced, multiple or single, is unique and must be heeded.

Let alone abstract generalities and focus on the most violently particular situations. Get back to universal when we have to rouse public awareness to a given righteous cause.

Because every human life is a promise made to all mankind : make no speculation on its destiny, but bring about the conditions for it to become.

From death prescribed…

• Persecution, torture, mortal violence caused by man,
• Life-threatening diseases that can be prevented and/or cured,
• Inside destruction following untenable grieves,
• Social expiration : meaningless to others, meaningless to oneself,
• Ending life in absolute abandonment and crudely substandard conditions.

As long as such needless suffering persists in this world, combats like ours may be serviceable.

• Body and spirit revived,
• Basic dignity restored,
• Equal expectancy of life lasting with one's surrounding community.

True security of the right to live as it is guaranteed -or supposed to be- by numerous conventions upholding the rights & freedom of individuals.

I. Aims

Empower local workpeople in rescuing threatened individuals.
Whenever possible try to legally delete those ones responsible of driving such sufferance.

Everything everywhere is obviously not in our reach, but there is not worse than attempting nothing at all when we know. Our limits attained, others may be called in to take over.

Limits are those of accessible resources and of available partners; choices are directed by the combination of these two components as new projects are progressively detected.

How ?

• Assure partnership, nourish creative and combative energies in their own fields by facilitating their needed resources and empowering their countenance.
• By remaining small, resolute and true.
• By making the link between the victims and the bare help they need.
• Once the job done and well done, including necessary follow-up to secure revival, move to the next waiting sufferer, ("development" relies on more competent -or supposed to be- organizations than ours).
• By testifying & speaking out on human rights abuses, and, when necessary, by conducting investigative research or supporting public awareness campaigns.
• By raising modest but secure funds, incurring minimum overheads and ensuring a tight control on spending.
• By maintaining a scrupulous record of the work of the movement and audited accounts of all funds received and spent.
• Constant capacity of feed-back on activities as well as on justifying the handling of the means which were granted to accomplish the work.
• Away from any ethnic, political or religious considerations.
  

With whom ?

• Partners : generally among social workers, (para)medics, human rights activists, courageous pioneers from civil society.
• Person acting in vanguard to save other people's lives, may she or he be on her or his own or belong to a group, may it be institutional or informal. Both personal and collective integrity are mandatory. Serve them financial assistance, technical backing or other services according to their needs, confined to our modest possibilities & skills.
• Emphasize on trust.
• Partners for whom money is a serious matter, and with whom together we are convinced that a small amount can make the difference, and bond to demonstrate it.
  

Where ?

No confinement, but often in the poorest countries.

Resources :

• Uphold-members who contribute, according to each person's ability, to the parsimonious overhead costs of the association : salaries, transportation, communication, etc. The percentage of these overhead costs is aiming to be moderate in comparison with the total amount of money raised for the work.
• Grants, sponsorships.
• Ideally : donations would be regularly renewed and entirely free to use for the most pressing expenditures at the given time.
• There's no too little sum : every single franc is needed.
• Welcome to qualified and steady complimentary volunteering.
• Fund raising in kind : expands each franc received in cash.
• Money and resources we receive are not ours, but it is our duty to remain accountable and swiftly distributors.
• No ownership of the rescuer on the rescued, neither of the funding on the partner.
• Annual accounts assessed & approved by a legal auditor
